If Only The Walls Could Talk

If the walls could talk.
What would they say?
I'm listening walls.
Speak up!

Oh, my goodness,
you can talk!
And so many of you!
The bricks in the walls
are full of memories.

I ask you, all of you,
what do you think of
our plays here in this
small theater?

Ah... you like the musicals.
You say they are
energetic, fun to watch,
and lots of smiles.

But, when the audience finishes
their applause and the curtain
goes down and everyone leaves,
we are sad.

The lights are turned off.
The theater is empty,
dark and quiet,
but, with more
memories to share.

Until next time.
